From the initial design, picture research and image editing through layout and typesetting to the creation of charts and tables and the prepress artwork, the entire graphic realisation of this scientific publication was my responsibility. I developed a clearly structured, highly readable design with a comprehensible visual logic. The only design requirement was the corporate colours of Universitätsmedizin Mainz, which were integrated into the overall layout as a unifying visual element.
The result is a publication conceived and designed entirely from scratch, delivered as a BFSG-compliant, accessible PDF/UA file in line with current accessibility standards.
Diakonisches Werk
Berlin-Brandenburg-schlesische Oberlausitz e.V. – represents the social institutions as well as the educational and health services of the Protestant churches in Berlin, Brandenburg and Silesian Upper Lusatia.
For this publication I handled layout, typesetting and prepress artwork based on the corporate design. The content was imported automatically from Excel spreadsheets into Adobe InDesign, complemented by custom-designed icons and location maps for Berlin and Brandenburg. Finally, I created a print-ready PDF as well as a BFSG-compliant, accessible PDF/UA file.

I know how important deadlines and print files are. That's why I always work in a focused, efficient way with the schedule in mind. What I don't do, however, is sacrifice quality for speed. Even under pressure, my work remains accurate and precise down to the last detail.
